Dear friends,

I know a lot of you are still patiently waiting to receive the work visa for Qatar.
What are the nationalities of you still waiting?
I am German citizen with an Arab background and I have been waiting for 3 months now and still no sign of my work visa...It is really frustrating to wait for such a long time, not knowing if the work visa application is going to get approved or rejected at the end!
AJE has told me that may be because of my Arabic background (Arabic family name) it is taking such a long time with the Qatari authorities. Are there any other cases like me, Western citizen with Arab roots, waiting for the work visa and what is the logic behind this?
What is the longest process time for a Qatari work visa? Can I keep my hope up high or is there any reason for me to be pessimistic about waiting for such a long time for the visa?
