I will be recently in qatar to work. My employer has arranged for a working visa for me. He has informed that that I need to come and then sponsor my family.

So please let me know what is the process.

Your sponsor is saying right thing. You can only apply to sponsor your family after getting Qatari residence permit. But there is some terms & conditions like the most important thing is your salary should be 7000 QAR... and they will ask you your 3 months bank statement... so you should get your salary transfered in bank, not in cash. And you should be on company sponsorship not on personal.
