The Color Run is going to hit us again

All the fun loving people out there, here’s some ‘colourful’ news for you!

The event that had a whopping 5,000 participants from Doha taking part in it last year is here again. The Color Run is back to change our day into a shimmer of colours on the 9th of January 2016.

The Color Run is a fun filled, untimed event where the participants or the “color runners” will cover a stretch of 5km while coloured powder is being showered upon them.

Be not frightened, for you don’t have to run the whole 5km! You can either walk, jog, run or even push your kid in his stroller while you leisurely walk.

The event will be held on January 9th next year around the QNCC building. The Color Run is also open to all residents of Doha belonging to all communities, of all ages and physical abilities.

This time too the event will be backed up by the Weill Cornell Medical College (WCMC-Q). Its “Your Health First” campaign – Sahtak Awadan-will present the Color Run in QNCC.

Sahtak Awalan is a wonderful campaign that try to educate people about health issues and teach them to make positive and healthy life choices.

Color Run is definitely a happy and a joyful event. The “Color Runners” who take part in it will receive freshly designed t-shirts, headband and other cool merchandise.

Also, the “Color Runners” will be greeted at the finish line by a huge Finish Festival with lively music and colour throws.

A special feature of the event this time will be the Unicorn Mascot called “Runicorn”who will lead the participants as they make their way around the course.

Another special feature would be In keeping with the event’s community focus, $1 from every entry at The Color Run will be donated to Educate A Child (EAC).
