Bringing Food on Ramadan?
Hello all. I'm going to arrive in qatar during the Ramadan. I am planning of bringing plenty of food from home to tide me over at least two days or so while settling in for I have been told that my place of accomodation is far from any supermarkets or restaurants. Is that allowed? Would that cause any problem in the airport? Thanks for any help.
you will find lots of small stores everywhere in Doha and they sells stuff from the philipines like noodles and even bagoong. dont need 2 worry, just bring enought for a few days.

Well thank you all. I'm not going to bring that many. And it's not going to be sumptious, sorry Colt, couple packs of instant noodles, perhaps :)
Be prepared to pay excess baggage charges while checking in!
Many years back when Indian stuff wasn't available all that much in Doha, my mum had a habit of bringing along spices to last until our next trip to India. All this stopped when we got charged something like Qrs. 2,000/- for excess baggage at Bombay airport! LOL You had to see the look on my dad's face. "Somebody's gonna get hurt!!!"

Bring in as much food as you want to. Just ensure you invite us for a sumptious meal thereafter... :-P
unless it's not pork.
Good Morning!
Cheers!
