Doubts concerning the word Jihad
As i have previouslly stated i'm reading some books that were given to me at Mosque. While reading "To understand Islam" i found following sentence:
"If a group of muslims decides to participate in a Jihad, all the community is released from it's responsability.(...) This release doesn't exist for the citizens of an Islamic country when this country is attacked by a non muslim force"
Source: Understanding Islam by Abul A'la Maududi; Spanish version, published by International Islamic Publishing House.
I was wondering, what if a muslim country attacks another?
(EX: Iraq/Iran , Iraq/Koweit or Iraq/Saudi Arabia)
If a group participates on a Jihad than remaining citizens are free from participating?

Poverty is not for the sake of hardship. No, it is there because nothing exists but God. Poverty unlocks the door -- what a blessed key!

One Muslim (group) fighting another one is not called Jihad. Its called fighting among Muslims. I said group instead of country or nation, this is because Islam recognizes only one nation for the Muslims. So in this case there is no Jihad among two Muslim groups. Its just fighting, and other Muslims are obliged to mediate between them. If they refused to stop the war, other Muslims must stand with the one who is just in their openion.
Existence is a heavy burden, only high spirited ones can bear it.
