Emir and PM sends greetings to US president

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has sent a cable of congratulations to US President Barack Obama on the occasion of his country's National Day.

HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani has also sent a cable of congratulations to Obama.

Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July, is a national holiday in the US, commemorating the declaration of independence from Britain in 1776.

Happy Fourth of July to all Americans in Qatar too!
