May their souls rest in peace. Condolences and prayers for the families of the passengers.

Makes us sit back and think how our lives can suddenly change without a moment's notice & how much we should be thankful for what we have.

LincolnPirate - I should hope not. There are also reports of the weather being terrible...

Formatted Soul - yes isn't it sad? You're right, it's important to live for today cause you just dont know when your time will be up.

Oryx - true. It's been a few years since I last flew Ethiopian but they provide excellent service and have, until now, had a very good safety record.

Hosamdakour & Lebaneseman - yes, it really is tragic. My prayers are with the families of those lost.

Sorry to hear that :( .

If it crushed after 30 minutes then it crushed over the Med. sea to the south of Beirut.

What makes me terrified is that the Ethiopian Airlines are among the best:S

I have flown Ethiopian a few times.... I found them to be a very good airline - cabin and ground crew.

This is very sad. Our prayers are with the families and friends.

Everyday something or the other is happening in some part of world...war.. natural calamity...accident..etc..

But seldom realize that it takes only few mints for us to stop breathin...:(

"Eyewitnesses say they saw a ball of fire in the sky before the jet, which was was bound for the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa, crashed into the sea." (BBC)

Sounds like a terrorist attack, does it?
