Centrina,

This is the 4th time I try to answer this. Every time it gets deleted somehow. Anyway, I understand what you mean by you want to meet other muslims. I did when I became a muslim 10 years ago. So if you want together send me a PM and we will arrange something. Also FYI there are many courses & lectures available. There will be one next week.

he wasn't being rude or anything, he is right!

Many people would try to teach you Islam their own way, and not by the books!

They try to brain wash you with ideas that are not in the islamic books, and remember all religions are true, and we should not be rude to anyone if they don't have the same religion as ours!

You are in right place to study Islam. Fanar (QCPI) is located in heart of Doha. We have English Khutbah every Friday and you will feel comfortable to meet many European sisters over there.

Ppl are flockin to islam in thousands but not all have correct Aqeeda.

We Asians have inherited Islam from our (Ignorant parents)ancestors who have never studied Islam and do not know what is Aqeedah. Every muslim belongs to Ahl sunnah wal jamah.

If you can make it this Friday at Fanar Insha Allah you will be able to meet grt knowledgeable European sisters.

I hope in your search for Islamic books and centers, to always exert efforts to read the Quran, ask yourself questions and think of answers, keep contesting faithfully until you’re satisfied. Make it a process to use the power of thinking.

Faith, reason, meditation and sound judging are inseparable. You may obtain information about facts and pillars of Islam, but the rest will be subject to interpretations based on consensus or best practices, guided by the path of our Prophet and His companions. Yet the foundation and basic principles are the same, in every faith indeed.

It’s a bumpy road, it will be smoothed by the learning the Book of Allah and with your inherent compass, you'll be alright.Don’t feel frustrated if many versus are beyond your comprehension. Who knows it all?

By the way, I’m not by any mean preaching you or insulting your intelligence. I’m just sharing my thoughts.

May you find the truth within.

Salam

It makes me smile to see people converting into Islam by choice. Whatever your reason is, it is just the beginnings steps of your life as a muslim. There are a lot of places to go to, but I think you should read and learn the Qur'an first. Then take the next step forward and get closer to the religion. It isn't easy, but when there is a will, there is a way.

I hope this is a decision that you never regret and I truly hope you become a happier person with this wonderful religion, Islam.

Sallam Aleikum

What made you embrace Islam? is that because you were really interested or you did it to marry a Muslim guy? Normally Europeans do it for the second reason.

Shuaibkaiz, blindly following a religion is stupid

Correct yourself here Sunnah is to be Practiced and Hadith are to be read.

Do you have any solid reference come up with it then. and prove me false.

Theres no easy way sister

If you want to follow islam follow it from the source

Not from Word of mouth - thats how misconceptions come into the mind

Read the Quran and the sunnah of the prophet (Hadith)

Try to understand it to the best of your capabilities - Insha Allah you will be guided by Allah

And among other things the books of Hadith you should read are

1 Bukhari

2 Sahih Muslim

3 Tirmidhi

4 Abu Dawood

5 Malik Muwatta
