so that means US depends on pak.

Flying Ache, US want to move ahead of afghanistan war, by blcoking the nato supply will effec the provision of US aid to pak, & this all OBL drama shown is a proof of america's evacuation from Afghanistan & their next target is pakistan now!

nishant, We got the F-16s from USA, and we don't want any more Aircraft from USA, Pakistan Airforce is Making their own JF 17s with China, in Pakistan....

Arien, Yes ISI is Under Army Control, Like CIA is not under any check and balance same goes for ISI, if ISI would have not been active in Pakistan would have been Under American Control like Afghanistan or Iraq is.

USA needs Pakistan, IF Pakistan stops Nato Supplies, and Stops Giving Air Bases in Pakistan, USA would be in a mess inside Afghanistan, and this is sure a Major Change in Pakistan is about to come in a Week or two...

no, india's hand is involved in the attacks, & they never wanted pakistan to have those planes, hence the aim was to weaken the naval strength!

everyone is free to put blame though its not their job!!

its an attack done by Pakistan itself. they have destroyed 3 planes, so now they can go back to the US and ask for more money and more planes, or may be even force them to give more F 16's.

By FlyingAce• 26 May 2011 11:39
FlyingAce

Arien, i slightly disagree with you, why would ISI do all this, Destroy P3C Orion, it was the Army itself who Requested American's too give us P3C Orion...

It can be anyone , inlcuding Pakistan's own ISI. The situation is so vulnerable in the country , and the politicians are to be blamed..

This is not good for not just pakistan but the whole region, They should come out of the obsession and hatred towards Indian admin and work together to clean up the situation for the sake of its people. Whereas they are &^%$#@# a55 of US and China to get all those aid dollars and hogging them. If this scenario continues that beautiful country and its common people will end up in disaster.

so gwadar port is given to chinese naval base for protection of pakistan, what a joke! why cant they rely on their own. why dont they stop foreign aid! or are they not capable of! quite simple.

RS, 10 Naval officers Embraced Sahadat,Including Special Services Group Commandos (SSG).

I am not saying America was involved in this Attack, but America is surely doing a Proxy War inside Pakistan, they want to Shift the War from Afghanistan to Pakistan, and from there to Iran, America has Interests in Gawadar Port, which was recently been given to Chinese Navy as they were interested in Making a Naval Base for the protection of Pakistan...

By Uranus1• 26 May 2011 10:26

Yep clearly all of the world's problems are America's fault. If America disappeared tomorrow there would be no more wars, violence or even sadness. Just like before the United States was a superpower . . .

two of them escaped away, two of them blowed themselves & two of them killed in the operation after killing 18 people & for what operation went long for 16 hours!! if american wants to attack pakistans naval base, they can do it in no time! its a piece of cake for them. if taliban is accepting their involvement in attacks then why to blame america.

Well no one Blames America, but Technically speaking the Attack on PNS Mehran, was not an act of Al-Qaeda that is for sure, it was Mumbai Style attack, the difference was it was a Highly Sensitive area, their aim was to destroy Naval Air power, P3C Orions, were the State of the art Anti Submarine Aircraft Specially used to track Indian Movement in Arabian Sea,

Yes i agree there were Security Lapses, but rest assure our Nukes are Safe...

Thank you very much China for being there with us in Good and Bad Times, and thank you for Gifting 50 JF-17 Thunders to Pakistan soon after PNS Mehran Attack..

Terrorist thought by Destroying 2 P3C Orions Navy would stop their Operations, but it is the other way around, Chinese have sent their Surveillance Aircraft to Patrol Pakistani Seas...

US cutting back troops in Pakistan: Pentagon

Updated at: 0243 PST, Thursday, May 26, 2011

US cutting back troops in Pakistan: Pentagon WASHINGTON: The US military said Wednesday it plans to scale back the number of American troops in Pakistan after Islamabad made a formal request, amid tensions over a US raid against Osama bin Laden.

"We were recently (within past 2 weeks) notified in writing that the government of Pakistan wished for the US to reduce its footprint in Pakistan. Accordingly, we have begun those reductions," spokesman Colonel Dave Lapan said in an email to reporters.(AFP)

Ok Khanan,

there is no 'if' about it. the CIA has over 400 operatives in pakistan..remember the pak government was asking the US to reduce it by 300..

there also the special ops teams..maybe 1000-2000. Offically about 300 strong.

so who is actually running the country?

Leadership take their orders from Washington..this is clear.

The sources is from a simple connect the dots that i didn't have any hardship trying to connect.

Its a highly well planned attack. That a bunch of madrsa going talibans can't pull.

"fire fighter's trying to put off the fire on the P3 were shot at"

"16 hours of cross fire on a naval base amidst the armed forces of Pakistan's strong hold"

"few days back northern border army shooting at NATO helicopters trying to enter Pakistan air space again".

Its a 110% american operation.Few days after O'ma said he will send more drone to attack Waziristan, in answer to the fact that he was asked not to defy Pakistan air space any more.

A group of more or less 12-20 american trained army went in and targeted the P3 C Orion for the soul purpose of rendering Pakistan helpless against future drone attacks.

and their second main target was the chinese diplomats that were at the base at the time.Coz, US always wanted ruin China and Iran's relationship with pakistan.

Not sure who was behind it:

Here are some possibilities:

US: they have hundreds of undercover ops and special forces in pakistan. Further discredits pakistani security services

ISI: message to the pak army to keep hands off the ISI in light of upcoming purge as consequence of apparent 'bin laden' killing...links made to ISI and militants etc

India: revenge for mumbai..

Taliban...unlikely considering level of sophistication of the attack...

Why does everyone blame the Americans for everything that goes around in the world.. They are nice, peace loving, friendly people.. I know it.. I have been there and I can say for sure that there is no place in the whole wide world as nice as the United States and there are no people as friendly, sweet, fair and conscientious as the Americans.. If I had an option, I would just love to move there permanently and never leave that heavenly country till I die..So please give them a brake and stop blaming them for everything that goes wrong anywhere..
