Male priests marry - I can't cope ...

.
"An Anglican church has held a homosexual "wedding" for the first time in a move that will deepen the rift between liberals and traditionalists, The Sunday Telegraph can disclose.

Two male priests exchanged vows and rings in a ceremony that was conducted using one of the church's most traditional wedding rites – a decision seen as blasphemous by conservatives."

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/2130668/Male-priests-marry-in-Ang...'s-first-gay-'wedding'.html

Now, I'm not overtly fundamentalist, but enough is enough, surely!

Be gay, be whatever, but if they purport to be 'priests' then surely they know the line to be 'toed'?

Well, the pews are getting more and more empty as people realize the futility and downright idiocy of religion. They's gots to fill the pews somehow!

I think the church is going in the direction it has to if it's going to survive.

Dear Gypsy

Would you mind simplifying your statement?

There is five directions that I know off, North, South, East, west and circles..

President Bush,In a message to Tehran, he said: "You bet you have a sovereign right, absolutely, but you don't have the trust of those of us who have watched you carefully when it comes to enriching uranium."

Regardless of whether we agree with their decision or not, isn't the people's trust shaken? I mean Christianity forbids gay marriages, and yet they defied it, so it makes u wonder what else have they modified? Will the people trust the church anymore?

I agree the message here is to do as I say, not as I do. Utter confusion. How can they preach and set the opposite example in their lives.

The two kind of converts in Canada, The Real Christians and the unrealistic homosexual's THAT CALLED THEMSELVES Christians. I need to ask God, who is going to hell first?

President Bush,In a message to Tehran, he said: "You bet you have a sovereign right, absolutely, but you don't have the trust of those of us who have watched you carefully when it comes to enriching uranium."

The Anglican church of Canada has been performing gay marriages for over 5 years now, and the head of the Church in Canada is gay as well. In fact the Anglican church of Britain has been threatening to ex-communicate Canada. Guess they won't be doing that now :P

Congratulations to the Happy Couple :)

Got to agre with you! This means that eveyone can now interpret the religious text as they like.

The Church seem to be shooting itself in the ot and then wonders why congregations are getting smaller.

gay is gay is gay isn't admissible as a Sanctified Marriage in the Anglican Church.

A full Latin Mass to celebrate homosexuality is a bit of a 'no no' to say the LEAST!

I don't particularly care who puts what into whom, BUT (bad choice of word there - hee) if a Church is to be believed, then they shouldn't allow such a marriage ceremony. Let alone bridesmaids! (wonder if they were page boys dressed up to look like funguys) :D

I don't think they understand the true definition.

toe/tow the line definition

to do what you are ordered or expected to do. He might not like the rules but he'll toe the line just to avoid trouble. Ministers who refused to toe the Party line were swiftly got rid of.
