Dear All Sri Lankans and Other supporters,

I am a Sri Lankan and I read the news that “UN releases Expert Panel report on Sri Lanka” today.

http://www.colombopage.com/archive_11/Apr26_1303770497CH.php

http://www.manilatimes.net/opinion/un-panel-opts-for-selective-amnesia/

I wish if we can show our support to Sri Lankan government and to our war Heroes of all forces by gathering to the Sri Lankan Embassy in Qatar or any other place on a sooner date. Please anyone who has the authority or association with embassy to arrange this come forward and make this happen.

I make this request because this report is against the rules of UN, and it has being done just to support the LTTE Tamil diasporas who are functioning around the world.

Please, share your thoughts and comments.

the ethnic cleansing has started and will continue..we do not need protection from the western world...we need protection from the R Regime which runs the country...hiding the truth, using the power to silence the media...buy the opposition and kill innocent people...

why are they running away from the truth...if hands are clean face the UN rather than protesting and showing off...

Silman, You dont have to be smart enough or educated to someone else's level to understand that the rajapakse brothers have cultivated a culture of lies, deceit, threats and brutality and even jailed members of their own military to keep the truth from getting out. Dont pretend that this ethnic cleansing did not happen or it might happen to you or someone close to you some day. Its all over the news on the Al Jazeera english channel, including pictures that the rajapakse's did not want the world to see.

And i may not aware about the truth.

But I do understand that when UN starts work on these investigation it will not only effect Rajapaksa. It will also affect the whole country.

As they have done to Iran, as they have done to Sudan.

Simply the victory will become an official hand over of the country for the UN to divide it in to two as the LTTE and current LTTE diasporas wanted.

I didn’t ask you to vote for Rajapaksa. I didn’t ask you to support the government to take the victory in PC elections.

I asked you to support to protect the country from western and LTTE powers by showing the support to our country president. If as you telling today our president is Mr. Fonseka I would have don’t the same. I Love my country NOT any party or any politician.

In my personal opinion, I respect Mr. Fonseka as a commander of Army.

BUT I hate him than LTTE for selling the country for him Political benefits.

If he has not started a story of that White flag issue this UN issue will not have come.

NOTE: I am not from an English country. I have learned little English to do my work. So please do not comment on my English.

go and get a proper education from the rajapakse education system...your English suks.....

you have no idea about the issue, what you read in the newspaper is not the truth.. a president cannot become a hero for doing his work,he cannot use the countries wealth as if its his own....

the general who fought the war for the government is in a cell behind bars...so what more for the innocent people in the north 5 star hotel and food :)

30 years of WAR.

WE born with the WAR.

WE lived with the WAR.

When we go out from house till we return back don’t know we will end.

Ruthless LTTE have invented many bombing ways that any other Terrorist groups have not done.

Millions have killed by LTTE.

Where u all were at that time???

No UN forced them to stop. No NATO came…

I have enough evidence from the beginning when ever LTTE in in loosing end so called UN, Human rites groups all came in to action and they wanted to make ceasefire agreements. Once the LTTE is equipped by them again they will let fighting.

ONLY Rajapaksha got the power to fight with LTTE and so called Professional terrorists UN, Human rites groups.

Now our country may in Financial cricis. BUT still all are alive. All can walk out freely.

You people can talk and write only.

If u have lived a life all we and all the Tamil people were living before 4 years time then u will feel what we have got now.

It is our duty to be with our President who fought with all western powers while fighting with the ruthless terrorist group in the world LTTE.

Ban –ki-Moon’s report is not anything than the moral support to the hidden LTTE Diaspora in the western countries who make themselves rich by making troubles inside the country and killing their own people and the other Sri Lankans.

SO far in the world no one have done as the Sri Lankan government did after a civil war.

More than 300,000 displaced people have sent back to their villages after building new houses.

More than 300 LTTE carders have given admission to University faculties including medicine.

More than 5,000 LTTE carders are studying in schools and various training centers.

More than 800 LTTE carders have got married and government provided houses and jobs.

Small and large scale self-employments have arrange with bank loans with the interest less than 4%

CAN SOME ONE TELL ME HAVE THESE THING DONE BY US FORCES IN AFGHANISTAN, IRAQ OR IN PALESTINE.

THEN WHY UN CANT PROBE THE WAR CRIME ON US FOR MASCARA THEY DID IN AFGHANISTAN, OR IN IRAQ

SRI LANKA IS NOW FREE OF WAR. ALL ARE MOOVING TO A RESPECTFUL AND PEACEFUL LIFE.

Only some foreign LTTE Diaspora want to spoil this and make them self rich.

Should not let this happen.

Let them atleast be given a chance to finish what they have set out to do and everybody could learn from the experiences and the findings so that this terrible things are not repeated again or avoided as much as possible.

Do you honestly believe the UN are capable of meting out justice on all those who have been oppressed? Can they for example bring to trial all those of the LTTE who massacred and robbed many people including the family of one of best friends? If they can and will then I do wish them success but to be honest I don't believe in them simply because I know what the situation was when the UN were in SL. It was chaotic to say the least,Allahu alam, and we suffered much then too.

By Good old joe• 26 Apr 2011 21:22

Yeah Fatima sure let justice prevail and for justice to prevail let the UN commission be allowed to carry on its inquiry to its logical conclusion.

Well Lanka has received some support for its stand from countries like Russia and China who are themselves worse abusers and murderers of their own people.

"What is happening today in Libya and Syria is exactly the same thing that took place out there in Lanka " Not the exact same thing..no. Like I said in your thread there are two sides two every story and in case of wars maybe way more than just two sides. The war in SL was long and bloody..People very very close to me lost their loved ones, homes, properties, , security, etc to the rebels just as those who lost theirs' to the government backed forces. Ultimately it was a very very sad situation and may justice prevail!

Siman be grateful that your own guys did not get you or the ones close to you. What is happening today in Libya and Syria is exactly the same thing that took place out there in Lanka and dont try and deceive youself like your contry folks into believing that your rajapakse is a saint. Unarmed and helpless people were tortured, butchered and killed and you want to support your leaders for their brutality.....

In this part of the world there is no right of demonstration. Normally the governments kill you!
