From waking up to office and back.

My stomach churned. I was thirsty. I vomited a bit of the acid. And I pooed on the toilet at 6pm after my 4pm lunch with a heavy press on the stomachache...

My muslim friend told me not to drink anything from the moment you wake up...

I think I sipped a bit of coffee around 8am as I cannot take my stomach churning and I need a lil warmup to stop the churn...

Supernurse yeah some people have more beautiful way of calling prayer then others.

...so out of respect for the culture here and their religion, I fast with them!

:)

Also because I can't cook and don't want to ask anyone to cook for me whilst they are fasting!

:P

Supernurse that was probably the call of prayer, the prayer is around 4:15. or was it something else?

To be fair, 4 isn't that early. The wife is up at 5 every day so I think I could manage 4!

I was out at 4am this am and I have to say that the sound of the mosques was quite spiritual!! Amazing experience! Although, not sure about the fasting, but that was quite enlightening!

I think Tallg would like to do it the way we do , so he should follow the rules.

Why don't you just select a time period that you want to fast..

Let's say from 7am to 5 pm.. Then go for it.

macgyver that is very considerate of you but also you dont need to punish yourself to satisfy others, you can have some privacy and eat if you wish.

tallg that is cool, update us everyone minute how it goes and inform us days in advance before you start.

I work from home so the temptation to go and grab a drink or food is always there.

But actually, I think it's the thought of getting up at 4 for Suhoor that is putting me off most!!!

In my work place, I'm into some sort of fasting as well because I can't eat and drink. There's just too much Arabs and Muslims around me. So, just to show them that I respect their culture and belief, I don't eat and drink while I'm here at the office from 8am-4pm.
