Pak Taliban steps up anti-Indian tirade

Winn
By Winn

Islamabad: Pakistani Taliban commanders have stepped up anti-India rhetoric in the wake of the tension between the two countries and have offered their men and suicide bombers to fight alongside the armed forces in the event of hostilities.

Militant commanders have called on Pakistan's security establishment to end military operations against the Taliban in the tribal areas, following the terrorist attacks in Mumbai. The Taliban leaders have issued statements saying they are not 'anti-state and are ready to die for the motherland.’

"We are fighting the Pakistan Army because it has launched operations in our tribal areas but we cannot allow India or any other power to invade our country," Qari Hussain, a top commander of the banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan based in South Waziristan, said in a statement.

Hussain, known for training suicide bombers, claimed an Indian attack on Pakistan would help the cause of the Taliban as it could force the army to stop military action in the tribal areas and the Swat valley of NWFP. However, the Taliban have "no intention of exploiting such a situation because our priority would be to fight India," he said.

Another group of Pakistani Taliban headed by Maulvi Nazeer, who is based in South Waziristan, issued a statement that said, "We would raise a force of 15,000 tribal Taliban to fight on the side of Pakistan's armed forces. We would infiltrate 500 suicide bombers into India to cause havoc there."

Nazeer's spokesman also said the militants "may have a dispute with the Pakistan government but we would set aside our differences if our homeland was threatened by outside powers."

He asked "Pakistan's political and religious forces to unite in the face of the Indian threat."

Maulana Faqir Mohammad, the deputy leader of the Pakistani Taliban who is leading militants against Pakistani security forces in the restive Bajaur tribal region, was the first commander to issue an anti-India statement.

"India has hatched a conspiracy to blame Pakistan and the mujahideen for the Mumbai attacks. India's discriminatory attitude toward its Muslim population is the reason for these attacks," he said.

"We are warning India not to invade Pakistan as any aggression would be resisted jointly by Pakistan's armed forces and the mujahideen."

The outlawed militant group Lashkar-e-Islam, which is based in Khyber Agency, too issued an anti-India statement. It said: "We have the history of our tribal forefathers before us. They offered sacrifices for Pakistan and defended its borders. It is our religious and moral duty to stop those wanting to invade our territory."

The groups called on tribal elders and youth "to be ready to lay down their lives for saving our motherland."

The strongly worded anti-India statements by militant groups operating in the NWFP and adjoining tribal areas showed they "are out to prove their patriotism" in the wake of the tensions between India and Pakistan, the pro-establishment ‘The News’ daily reported.

Arien.. I am not arguing on anything, only point I am trying to make is that there is a difference of opionion and media played a vital role in building common perception, let us wait for the proofs and once the proof are established it put to Pakistan for thier action and then see if they are serious in that cause or not.

You always talk about the particular mumbai attacks but what i was trying to say that cross border terrorism or spying activities were practiced at both end.

In order to bring prosperity in this region such things to be stopped by both end rather then playing blame games that what exactly we are seeing now.

And while discussing these issues its normal to be biased coz overall we are a kind of patriotism toward our native countries.

So lets continues....

Frozen!!!.. Running in a Skoda from Taj??? where did you read that story?? Kasab was not in the Taj bro.. he was one among the two who fired at the poor people in the CST railway station.. huh atleast know the incident before you debate.

--------------

Kasab in his own words: I am Pakistani and a terrorist

14 Dec 2008, 0604 hrs IST, S Ahmed Ali, TNN

MUMBAI: Pakistan wanted proof and now it is there in the killer's own words and in his own hand. Ajmal Amir Kasab, the lone captured terrorist in Ajmal Amir Kasab (TOI Photo)

Mumbai, has written a three-page letter to the Pakistani High Commission, stating that as a citizen he was entitled to seek legal help from his own country to fight his case in Indian courts. ( Watch )

The document not only finally settles the debate about the origins of Kasab and his fellow terrorists is a major embarrassment for Islamabad which has dithered about accepting that the Mumbai attack was launched from Pakistani soil.

Perhaps, what's worse for the detractors in Islamabad is a confession contained in the letter written in Urdu. "Mein sabse bara gunehgar hoon, kitne bekasoor logon ki jaan li hain, Khuda mujhe maaf karein (I am the biggest sinner, I have killed so many innocent people, may God forgive me),'' the terrorist wrote in a repentant tone.

"Sabse bara gunehgar to mein mere maa-baap ka hoon... unke dil ko thes pahunchaya hain (My biggest crime is against my parents... I have given them immense pain).''

Kasab has also requested the Pakistani high commission to at least bury Ismail Khan's body in Pakistan. It was Khan's last wish, the letter added. Khan was the terrorist who accompanied Kasab as they spread terror from CST to Girgaum Chowpatty."Uski aakhri khwaiash thi ke marne ke baad usko Pakistan mein dafnaya jaye (His last wish was that he be buried in Pakistan after his death),'' Kasab wrote.

"We have forwarded the letter to the Union home department which, in turn, will be sending it to the Pakistani high commission in New Delhi,'' joint commissioner of police (crime) Rakesh Maria said.

The letter contains details of his nine colleagues (and himself) Pakistan may now find difficult to ignore. Additional commissioner of police Deven Bharti said the letter had minute details of each of his nine colleagues killed on 26/11. It mentions not only their addresses but also names their handlers, including four important Lashkar-e-Taiba operatives: Hafeez Saeed, Zakir-ur-Rahman Lakhvi, Kahafa and Abu Hamza.

Kasab claims he had lost his head in the swirl of the jihad brainwashing by LeT and ISI operatives.

"Bahak gaya tha mein, Lashkar ke darindon ne mukhe phansa diya (I was misled, Lashkar's devils ensnared me),'' he said.

"Pure Pakistan ko badnaam kiya hai, Khuda mujhe maaf karein (I have tarnished Pakistan's image, may God forgive me).''

The letter also mentions that they were allowed a week's leave after they had completed their arms training some time in September. "They were told they could go anywhere they wanted to and Kasab, who left home two years before that, went to his village and met his old parents. He also took their blessings, saying he was going for jihad,'' Maria said.

The State Forensic Science Laboratory has sent a report of the two taxi blasts in Vile Parle and Wadi Bunder, confirming the use of RDX and petroleum oil in the two bombs. The composition of explosives was prima facie similar to those used in the 1993 serial blasts, Maria said.

coming back to lady's comments that versace wearing terrorist doesnt have even basic knowledge of islam as stated in the news article while people like hafiz saeed was given him daily lecture.

I think LET is improved a lot they are giving branded cloths along with latest weapons now.

Today Mr. Parnab Mukherji has said they will be sharing the evidence upon completion of investigation. what it means people are opening thier mouth or in other words jumping to conclusions prior completion of investigation GOT IT?

Well all of them were wearing orange bands in thier hands as media is saying to fool the ship they hijacked so it means they were showing off thier wrist bands from the distance telling the guy see we are RSS Terrorist we are going to kill some minorities pls give us lift.

Muslims organisation refused burial of those terrorist saying we condemn those attacks as such things are not permitted in Islam and still its not proved that those were really muslims. So Indian officials could have simply shown the dead bodies to them to reveal the truth coz muslims are circumcised and hindus didnt.

Any ways i can take a pic of any tom dick and harry and put it online stating he is mama chacha of Amr Ajmal Kasab.

Its strange to note that the guy was caught from a skoda while running it means still he was smart enought to escape from Taj. I can only comment that you guys are in safe hands.

Dear Qureshi,India is a big democratic country in the world. It is the seventh-largest country by geographical area, the second-most populous country, and the largest democracy in the world.

Home to the Indus Valley Civilization and a region of historic trade routes and vast empires, the Indian subcontinent was identified with its commercial and cultural wealth for much of its long history.[15] Four major world religions, Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism originated there, while Zoroastrianism, Judaism, Christianity and Islam arrived in the first millennium CE and shaped the region's diverse culture. India became an independent nation in 1947 after a struggle for independence that was marked by widespread nonviolent resistance.

India is a republic consisting of 28 states and seven union territories with a parliamentary system of democracy. It has the world's twelfth largest economy at market exchange rates and the fourth largest in purchasing power. Economic reforms have transformed it into the second fastest growing large economy.

The Govt of India or Hindustan will never tolerate any problems against minorities. But forcing to convert (conversion) into any religion is illegal and such acts are not accepted by any indians..JAIHIND..

See my friends, this subject is a big issue for India as well as Pakistan. The leaders of each nation or top level officers are trying to find out solution and its true that its being politicised among the two countries. But,terrorists are gaining and they are killing innocent people.Terrorists are terrorists, they dont have any religion or God.And its seems to be funny that somalians are thinking about this issue.Ha,Ha,dear realsome this is a matter of terrorism and not a matter of food as your country is facing.(sorry).

but here everybody is just blaming vs blaming.....that's why participants are comenting in such a way.....if somebody is blaming Lashkar-eTayyaba or Taliban then Shivsena or RSS must be blamed as well.......

I am surprised, Indians feel free to comment negatively about Pakistan (Lashkar-e-Tayyaba/Taliban) but they don't have courage to listen about negative acts of India (Shivsena/RSS)........if discussion is in such a biased way then definately the comments will have to be accordingly........

Terrorist groups (known to everybody) are just maotivated for negative activites for their unknown purpose...............Those must be stopped forcefully for the better future of humanity

Colt: My intention was not to hurt you, but jus to cite an example for perception.

"no one is interested in talking about this anymore" -Talk for yourself. Last time I checked, you dont represent me or any group of people in QL.

As for my sense of humor, it did not survive the layoff following the recession.

RS: I do not believe that there will be a war. I do agree with you that the Pakistani people should not be blamed , but the govt definitely cannot absolve itself from its responsibility to curb terrorism.

Whoever doubted your contribution to the "Funnies" section, not me... regarding calling me confused clown, it doesn't bother me... sticks and stones may break my bones, words will never hurt me

besides, copying and pasting topics is getting to be boring, especially if it's regarding the Mumbai Terror attacks... also, no one is interested in talking about this anymore, so leave it be, at least someone had a good laugh at the jokes... my apologies for hijacking your thread, but I love doing that and so does Rayzzz... so if you can't beat them... join them!!!

I have seen indians protested for war? do you guys really want war? have you ever experienced one? do you know how it feels to be in war?

Why do you blame pak for few terrorists with special agenda? i think this is just a propaganda to wage war against this country. i think both of you should watchout or we will have less people in this world and more jobs... and more road safety without the indians driving.

Well, Colt lets jus say there are somethings I dont joke about. You might be justified in calling me Mr.Grouchie pants for that, but then, I might call you Mr.Confused Clown for not knowing what fits where. Matter of opinion,y'see.

About whatever went out of the window you can check the funnies section, you'll find quite a lot of my contributions there. May I also suggest 'Community Guidelines' for your reference?

Good joke...and I loved th theroy of Britexpat..Yes, it can happen...who knows???There will be war, no matter who says what...there will be mayhem. No party will gain from it, martyr's will be born, some money will be given, some medals, then poof....evrything comes back to its same place.same police, same politicians, same law, same corruption...however hard we debate on such vulnerable topics, the outcome is the same.we are the ones to suffer.rich gets richer, poor remains at the same place.Anyways, Jai Hind.

I had no intention of starting a forum with the jokes, if I did, then I would have used the "Funnies" and I do think I have used that before... besides, it was related to the topic and Friend88's comment and that is why I posted 2 jokes on here and then a comment... so mr. grouchie pants, I suggest you lighten up and enjoy the humor, unless that just went out the window idk...

I have read Friend88's comment, found he hasnt added anything to the discussion and hence chose to ignore it.

I agree, There's always room for humor in QL and the room is called "Funnies". Also I did not find this topic funny. Maybe I lack a sense of humor.

Do tell me why they would mark a separate section for Funnies, if you were s'posed to post jokes anywhere in the forum.

Two guys, an Indian, a Pakistani are out walking together one day. These 2 guys come across a lantern. When they rub it, a Genie pops out of it.

'I will give you each one wish, that's two wishes total,' says the Genie.

The Pakistani said, 'I want a wall around Pakistan, so that no neighbors or infidels can come into our Paki land.' With a blink of the Genie's eye, 'POOF' there was a huge wall around Pakistan.

'Hmmmm', the Indian asks, 'I'm very curious. Please tell me more about this wall.' The Genie explains, 'Well, it's about 150 feet high, 50 feet thick and completely surrounds Pakistan. Nothing can get in or out.'

So the Indian says, 'Fill it up with water.'

Pakistan just got their new Chinese fighter planes and sent a squadron of pilots there for training.

'Ok, this one is easy to fly', said the Chinese trainer, 'even you fools should be able to operate it! You press this button to go up, this one to go left and this one for turning right!'

'But how do we come down?' asked Capt. Arfath Pasha.

'Oh,' said the Chinese 'leave that to the Indian Air Force!'

Only if Pakistan Govt. & Media is will concur with the findings of joint investigations. The general consensus amongst my Pakistani friends is that this was all conspiracy and Indians are being fooled at large.

After hearing those stories, at times I wonder that if the monitor in front of me is for real or I'm being fooled by my office into thinking that this is a real LCD!

Attacks can happen anywhere...but were the police armed to stop the attackers.

The police & security guards in the cities are armed to stop robbery not terrorist. Their arms have to be upgraded.

I cannot forget the clip of a army guy trying to tie his gun with a rope to sling it over his shoulder...poor chap.

And what technology were the media talking about? Did the commandos have thermal imaging or night vision glasses?

The army could have easily gassed the building with a gas that renders the terrorist & other people unconcious for a couple of hours, an hour before the commandos broke in.

I 100% percent agree that a Terrorist attack took place. It was a tragedy of immence proportion.

All I am saying is that media sometimes "fans the flames of hatred" and we should be more careful in what we read or believe.

Let the fire die down, let the clouds clear. Let the Indian, America, British governments do their investigtion and then take action acordingly..

By Winn• 4 Dec 2008 11:12

Da: Not clear on some points...

Which govt are you talking about? The tribal govt , Zardari's govt, the ISI/military govt or the Indian govt?

Govt is to be blamed for what?

So are you saying that none of these people said what this news article on msn claims that they did?

By DaRuDe• 4 Dec 2008 10:58

a baker job is to run his bakery and to earn more he will make anything you like it or not but he still will try to sell it.

thats how media is they want to carry on make their names so will add up any masala in their news to attract more customer to go for it make it famous.

i dont believe in media. yea if you have approach in some govt sect. mainly Interior you sure will get to the core of cause. the govt is the one to be blamed. media runs on some guidelines which are forced by Min of communication else they cant run.

By Winn• 4 Dec 2008 10:57

Let me get some basics straightened out, Brit. Are you convinced that a terror attack happened in Mumbai on 26/11? Or was that too a media attempt to make and sell stories? Lets start from there, what say?

Would you mind quoting the source of this theory about USA?

By Winn• 4 Dec 2008 10:52
Winn

Do you mean to say that all these names and reports of what these people have said have been made up by the media?

By britexpat• 4 Dec 2008 10:42
britexpat

Again, its rhetoric and being blown out of all proportion by local media (Both India and Pakistan).

As an aside.. i heard a great theory yesterday, after Rice's visit to India.

The theory goes that the USA was behind the attacks as a means of cornering Pakistan into dealing more harshly with the militants. This would benefit the USA in the long run..

My point is that people need to stop believing everything and more importantly stop being excited by the media whose role is to sell stories..
