Today, Monday, November 2, Princess Margaret and Prince Radu of Romania visited Qatar.

The Prince Radu of Romania said:
" We hope both the days spent in Doha to help close the economic, educational, cultural and diplomatic between Romania and the countries of the Arabian Peninsula, especially the closeness of our country and Qatar.

We met at the Palace in Doha on His Highness Sheik Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Qatar's Emir, who received us in the morning.

Princess and I have discussed with the Chief of a wide range of topics, from education in high schools and universities of our countries, up to energy issues, the political-diplomatic situation in the region and the opportunities to develop bilateral economic relations between our countries.

Romanian community in Doha, which include 1,000 people, is appreciated by the local population. Moreover, among the employees I met a Romanian HRH.

Our hosts made us the pleasure to invite us to visit "Education City", an original concept to spread knowledge and encourage research in the company, from youth up to the elderly. The various forms of teaching and research in the educational enterprise to enjoy this extraordinary partnership with universities and institutions of high reputation in the United States and Europe. Sheika Mozah, the Emir's wife, is president of the foundation, he leads with enthusiasm, passion and vision.

We also visited the Museum of Islamic Art, a building opened in December last year, designed by famous architect Ieoh Ming Pei. The museum has an invaluable collection of art objects in the Arab world located on three continents, one Asian, one African and European. The oldest exhibits date from the seventh century and the latest in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries."

Prince Gica the I-st and Count Dracula are also in a long visit in Doha.

We've never been received by any state official, still we have very good relations with ones of the great Qatari companies: Qatar Distribution Company, Qatar Airways, Woqod(oil change and car wash), Q-tel and Kahramaa.

We intend to expand our visit in Qatar until we will become filthy rich, which will take approximately 1050 years (for me) and another 473 years (for Count Dracula).

Hope that we will see you (QL-ers) to the National Romanian Day Grand Banquet organized by us in a venue which will be announced later. :)
