just wondering whether a country has it rights to formulate exactly what they need to do to safeguard its interest of the majority?

somebody ought to tell him to mind his own business...no Christian steeples in Qatar/no churches in Saudi=no more minarets in Switzerland...can anyone point out if there is anything unfair @ all in the above equation?...

down the lane we are in continous search for the tips and tricks for our existence. How many people in their daily routine seriously ponders over which relegion do they belong to...i personally think its peanuts because we all have better things to do..make ourselves struggle to co-exist. But then there will be somebody or something always nagging on these issues on a daily basis which makes yourselves feel so insecure under the burden of fanaticsm..irrespective of any relegion. primarily governace is important and governace is by the people and for the people and since it largely depends on the culture from the preceding civilisation we have different countries and they have their unique governace. so let them run and do it according to the LAWS OF THE LAND.

nobody has come against the religious protocols or the likings of the majority of any middle east countries...so isn't it diplomatic not to interfere in other's buisness...today also saw a news clip that some respected scholar has criticised christmas trees and lights being displayed in shops...why do we rationolise things always with the relegious tinge in it..and these kind of immature gestures will always go against a secular thought of the entire globe.

It is very difficult to fight this ban, since it was the outcome of a national referendum. The only possibility is to hold another referendum which may overturn the ban..

So he just can't do something about fighting for the right for the minarets of mosques maintained by his fellow Swiss Muslims.

"just wondering whether a country has it rights to formulate exactly what they need to do to safeguard its interest of the majority?"

You mean like banning Christian steeples in Qatar? Or is that somehow different??

Isn't that the same type ban that is on Christian church steeples and crosses in the Muslim world? Maybe when the Muslim world quits discrimination, others will also. Can certain religious books be banned from some "Muslim" countries? Why isn't this seen as only fair since it is the same treatment, except the shoe is on the other foot, so to speak!

Anybody, at any time, is allowed to leave, if he doesn't like it! (Except for Qatar, you'll need a permit).
