Can you cut and paste the important paragraphs.  It's late and I'm too lazy to read the whole article!

"I am not a pretty girl, that is not what I do, I ain't no damsel in distress and I don't need to be rescued. So put me down punk, I'm not a maiden fair, maybe there's a kitten stuck up a tree somewhere." Ani Difranco

I will take on board that suggestion PH.

Diamond girl..  am I your habeebtee? awww mashAllah but you don't even know me!

No honestly I didn't mean it like that.. I just thought that some of the arabic words would be a bit hard to understand.

DaRude.. mmm I never thought about that. Unfortunately I am not sure Qaradawi's fan club would let me in as I don't believe in suicide bombings. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Em PH...it's not too much of a hard read for everyone...we CAN all read habibti...it is too loooooooong...cut and pastes are a turn off in general...it's much better to click on the link and see the article in the context of the publication/newspaper/magazine.

I just thought it was an interesting article and it came from an arabic daily newspaper. So perhaps it will give a bit of insight into a few of the stereotypes.

Although yes.. a bit of a hard read for both muslims and non muslims!

perhaps a bit too much of a hard read for most of you! Sorry about that.

PH, you provided the link.  There's really no need to cut and paste it all.  Perhaps you can include your thoughts along with the link instead.
