Why Equality is difficult to practice?

a bit of an abstract ideal. Mathematically, something "equal" is quantitatively the same. If you are using comparison, you are comparing apples to apples. Since the things listed cannot be systematically made the same, you start to compare apples to oranges, then to achieve "equality" a balance needs to be made--give and take and an ongoing discussion and change.
Human rights should be equal because you are essentially comparing the same thing, which is humans to humans, but it is in ensuring those rights where the standard to measure becomes blurry, and it doesn't mean the same thing to different people.
I think and i believe equality does not mean similar or exact thing rather it is proportional. what I mean you are accountable only base on liabilities or capacity.
'Equality' is a rather broad and open-ended notion.
As numerous people have commented above, you can't treat everyone equally because, in some respects, they aren't. Everyone's intellect, maturity, age, education and social background, is different.
I don't think people should be treated equally in every circumstance. I wouldn't tell someone in a wheelchair to get his own coke from the fridge, or tell an old woman to open the door herself, or yell at a child for making a mess. People are different and should be treated differently according to who they are.
However, on the issue of human rights, people should be treated equally.
Perhaps people could provide examples of certain instances of inequality and how it could be addressed? I must confess I'm not really able to talk about it because inequality isn't something I saw much of until I moved to Qatar. Perhaps someone from India could tell us about the caste system, for instance?
Equality is an ideal and something to strive for, however at the moment we don't have it because, some countries are poorer then others or have different cultural backgrounds that make equality difficult. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't aim for equality.
and yet there are advocates who wants woman should be equal to man...if they can then do that then there should be western equal to eastern...native and immigrants but hard really to define yet some people or sectors are so demanding
