Hi! I really need your help. I am new in Qatar Living. I just recently signed an open contract for 1 of the big companies in Qatar. Here's my offer:

Basic 5,000 QAR
Guaranteed Bonus for 3 months - 3,000 QAR
Housing/Transportation - Company Provided
2 Way Ticket home once a year

I am single and will be working as a Marketing Exec. Is the offer okay

Hi Ram!

Thanks for the heads up. According to their HR, I have my own room so that's a relief. I just hope everything turns out fine.

Thanks so much again for helping me on this matter.

I agree with wut the people recommended for u but take care of one more thing .. some people on such salary provide u a room with 2 or 3 persons in the room .. which might be a prob. for some people .. don't know about u .. but make sure that the accomdation is only for u .. even if it's just a room in an apartment .. make sure it's only for u .. uness u can survive with other people regardless there manners and life style .. or u will try to find a room outside ur company accomdation which will be costly and then the salary won't be enough as u think ..

and all the best wishes for u .. and u r most welcome in Qatar and Qatar Living ..

and of course it depends on what lifestyle are you planning to have! But it's quite alright since housing and transportation are provided by your company.

G'luck.

Welcome to Qatar Living!

Cheers!

Thanks for the advise. Housing & transportation will be provided by the company so I guess you're right. The 5000 is okay for me to get by. Really, thanks!

Although I'd wanna say that QAR 5000 is not very much, I do know that you can survive on that amount, provided you get furnished housing and transportation.

A chunk of you paycheque normally goes towards housing, bills, car loan. So if you have that taken care of, then you should be able to manage the utilities which is not very much and you should be able to save at least QAR 3000. (if you're careful with your spending habits)

GOOD LUCK!
