Hi Spicemom / canarybird

Thanxs for the quick response to my post. Actually i made slight mistake the basic salary of QR 21K includes Basic + HRA + Conveyance and not seperate HRA and conveyance as earlier mentioned. Sorry in a hurry made mistake.

Your views after the revision.

Can u all give a rough idea how much a 1 BHK unfurnished and not very hyp would cost.

I have 1 school going kid aged 4 (he's in KG 1) going in for a british curriculum school here in Dubai. Can u let me know how much will be the schooling cost (any good schools recommended). Can he get admission if we land in Feb 08.

Can i bring my car from Dubai to Qatar.

Pls pls help me to decide.

The first thing you have to do is find out if there are any places in the schools for your children before you consider leaving Dubai.

The salary is more than enough to live well in Qatar and you did not mention how much your HRA was.

rentals are high here so either you are given accomodation or the allowance that would help. secondly childrens education here is pretty high too you may have to fork outta yr own pocket (depending on the ages of yr kids). thirdly if you dont eat out alot that would save some as well..........good luck

life's too short so make the most of it, you only live but once.......
