Business District - Earning Potential - Standard of Living

Hi all

This is my first time on QL and I look forward to using it more in the future as I make my move to Qatar.

I am interested in asking a couple of questions:

1. What is the central business district in Qatar called? (i.e. Dubai DIFC)

2. I am moving to Qatar as Country Manager for an international recruitment business that specialises in the financial and technology sectors, and am wondering what type of package to request?

3. There's seems to be a mixed bag of feeling towards life in Qatar, and I was wondering why this is? It appears that some people hate it and some love it...

4. Any other advice would be appreciated, in relation to business start up and the general recruitment industry.
