A thread from a qler guy named "askme" a malaysian IT engineer...

[Hi.... you Philippines people has spoil the Qatar job market by working so cheap. Thinks first when living cost is so high, you cannot get a decent room or family flat with US$ 2000-(2K), you are saying you are willing to work with US$ 800 per month. Please.. don't spoil the market. First study the situation and demand.

After looking at people like you.. employer will set a mind and they will judge all your country fellow so cheap. So please be what you are and demand what is decent for you.....

World is big place and getting smaller everyday... in this global workforce...there are plenty of opportunity and choices, you have to be cleaver and smart enough to
choose.]

Question: Have we been so cheap to spoil the job market in qatar?

Well, $800 is 36k plus in philippine money, one cant get that salary in the Philippine unless you are working as a manager/supervisor of a top 50 corporation.

Eto namang mga job agencies natin sa Pinas "deregulated" in terms of range of salary they offer (contract)to an applicant.May mga bulong bulongan pa na they get cuts. Sana the Philippine government will look seriously and legislate provisions to protect filexpats.
