College allowance ?
By Aldo-Dario •
I have received an offer that includes education allowance, but limited up to high school.
Is this the usual offer? Have any of you heard anything about college allowance?
In principle, I do not see a problem since it is education of the employee children.
Please comment. I will appreciate very much to hear on a similar situation...
Thanks.

Domestic fees in England are now 9,000 plus. And expats generally don't get the domestic rate.
"Usually" education is free! Even universities charge only a minimal fee of not more than 2.000 Euro per year (in Europe). However, when education becomes a business, like in Qatar, it costs.
This is standard, although some companies will pay for further higher education of the employee (such as an MBA or other graduate degree).
thank you!
ITS THE USUAL.
Yes, usual.

generally companies pay till your kid is 18. But, nothing wrong in asking for it. If your talent is rare and in demand then anything is possible. You may not get in the name of college allowance but may be in some other name......
