Egyptian Trainer
Hello dears:),
First of all thanks for this great forum, it is really very helpful. i would like to get your help as my husband is getting an offer as a Technical trainer for a bank in Umm Lekhba, Doha with a monthly salary of 5400 USD with no allowance, accommodation or any other benefits. we are Egyptians and my husband has a 5 years experience in the training field especially in Banking and he has a M.A in Comparative and International Law (llM) from the American university of cairo (AUC). My 1st inquiry is about the quality of this salary, is it good or low , will it be enough to have a decent life and set a saving plan noting that we have no kids. Finally, I want to know whether it is easy to find a job for females who has 5 years experience in the banking field and what could be the average salary?
Thanks in Advance & waiting for assistance

Hello there Bongabonga...
I can't help you about whether it is the right money to pay for your husband's knowledge and experience as a Technical Trainer but usually accommodation and other allowances are offered as part of the deal!
As far as living on that money here in Qatar... you will be pushing it! Meaning in my humble opinion, it won't be enough. Renting and food is very expensive in Qatar.
As far as you getting a job, I have no idea whether your experience will be what the banks want. But there is a huge push on here to only employ Qatari's so many of the expat women are still trying to find work. Me included. There is also an undercover "thing" about age. So if you are under 30 you might get a look-in but otherwise it will be difficult. This has been my personal experience and expat women have told me the same story. So don't think you can rely on yourself getting a job to boost your income! :(
I hope someone with knowledge of what your husband should be paid answers your query and that my info will be a bit of a help too.
Good luck!
