expected salary for a journalist

i'm a journalist with 12 years of experience in the industry back in malaysia. i've moved to doha recently and i'm wondering about the salary range of a journalist here.
any idea ?

thank you Patrick! will keep that in mind. i've just been looking through some mags and newspapers here. al-jazeera is an option of course.

Depends on your passport and which company. Al Jazeera probably pays the best salaries, but you better be qualified. If you're form the West you'd be in a higher wage bracket and will not stand a chance to get a job as the offering salary wouldn't cover your housing. South Asians vs SE Asians are probably in the 5000QR bracket. That's a rough guess though.
