Hello everyone,

I deeply need your advice regarding salaries in Qatar.
I konw I am repeating most of the already asked questions but I would feel more confident about the offer given to me if I got some questions answered directly.

My questions are:
1) How much should a Recruitment Specialist earn per month?
2) How much would it cost to rent a place for 1 to 2 people?
3) Are Groceries expensive in Qatar?
4) How much would I need to rent a Car?
5) If I go, after how many days would an expat usually receive a permanent visa (done by the company)?
6) If I know no one there, would it be VERY hard? or is it easy to meet new friends? is social life good there? are there any pubs?

Thank you so much in advance for your comments.

Regards,
Serena

In addition to your basic salary you should get housing allowance (minimum of 12,000 per month for a decent flat), transportation allowance (min 1,000), full medical coverage, you may not have kids now; children's schooling assistance (70% - 100%, the remaining 30% could be a killer if you send kids to the americal school), annual vacation tickets for you and family to home base. You will have to spend initial expenses for furnishing and car.

Salaries are depending on your qualifications and experience, but for sure no less than 10,000 monthly.

Comparing with America (USA) groceries almost cost the same, but compare with Europe, Doha is cheaper.

Usually to obtain your RP it takes 3 weeks after you came under a Permanent Visa (that should be send by your sponsor before to come to Doha).
