How usually negotioations look like
Hi everybody,
I'm in a process to be interviewed for a directors job in Doha by an international head hunting company.
I saw many helpful information in this forum but I still have a question regarding the salary negotiations. In Europe the employee usually has to tell his salary expectation. Then he gets an offer (or not). That's a tricky step because you could be far to high or to low.
Does this work for negotiations in Katar as well? And if so, what should be the salary range for an director in the IT sector reporting into the CIO?

First of all it's Qatar, with capital 'Q'.
Secondly, you should communicate with the head hunter on the expectation, as they will also want the commission.
