I have got an offer few days i go and i should replay by tomorrow "Employer ictQatar" :
* 14,000 basic
* 5,000 housing allowance for single ( 6500 for married )
* 1,150 TRansport
* 500 Communications
* 400 Utility
plus some benfits of furnature grant of 20,000 single, 40,000 married, car loan .
i have talked with HR and asked them for accomodation they said its not's unlikely to be provided .
Do you think the above is a good offer, and what is the range for a
dcent housing for a single or a husband-wife . ( e.g 2bedroom )
You will NOT find 1 bedroom flats for less than 6.5k, and even the 6.5k decent ones do not come by easily. 1 bedroom fully furnished will cost 7.5k. You might get lucky and find a very small studio for 5.5k, unfurnished. But they are difficult to find. 2 bedrooms will cost at least 8k, more likely 8.5k.
Please, do not believe the classifieds on QL, I've seen a few things advertised that the agents/owners claim to be "really nice" and they were a dump.
Basic salary seems good, though, Doha is not an expensive place if you do not plan on going to 5 star restaurants every night.
The office location is on Corniche area " i guess is called Dafna", is housing near by fall on 4000-5000 price range for 1-2 bed decent apartment

The package include Tickets, Children Education, 2.5 month bounce, Car loan, ..ect
my only concern is housing is ai heard that the pricess is high, and i hear many ranges .
so you think 5,000QR for a single is OK hosuing allowance .
be sure that other benifits such as medical for sel/family, annual passage, bonus etc..
1 bed furnished between 5000 - 7000 and 2 bedroom furnished between 8000 - 10000/- (rent depends on the size of the flat and the area.)

From what i have heard, ict should pay better.
Remember your tickets, furnishing, school
the offer is pretty good. All the other allowances are reasonable based on my experience.
Just see if you can get housing allowance increased to about QR 7 500 or 8k.
