Increment of salary
Dear Members
I am working here in doha for last 10 months. I had been recruited as a Planning Engineer and offered 8000 QR (All inclusive). After some months, because of the trust on my ability they put me on estimation and all kind of procurement activities and also Quantity surveying as well. So far I am comfort with my work but still getting paid that same 8000 QR. So I would like to ask for an increment to my GM upto 10000 QR. Meanwhile I am planning to go to my country in a emergency leave for Eid. There for I prepared two letters as it one for increment and other one is for my leave requisition.
Now I am confusing in which letter can be given 1st? and also Is that right that I am asking for an increment without completing one year? Please experts, advice me on this
its great Kakrey!! thank a lot :)
First complete one year, then you can ask for an increment if you feel salary is less for your job. Never threaten your employer by asking increment when you are in emergency leave. It is not professional behaviour and not good for your career growth & it spoil your relationship with your employer. Once you complete one year give a letter stating your Achievements, commitments, responsibilities in your company. Definitely you will get. If it is not working then give a resignation letter and look for another company. Best of luck.
wait for one year..
@sheji tnx man, @yasir it seems they dont want to hire any people for that position. so all work are being done by me.

yes you should have to wait for an year if nothing happens then ask for the increment and sometimes extra efficiency will put you in trouble try to understand the Professional politics and if you are doing estimation, procurement & surveying job then what the hell is QS, Procurement & Estimators are doing try to use the resources you don't have to do everything by yourself....
Dear good thing is submit the increment letter when you are back from emergency leave. so that you can follow up.
