Think I agree with Ms. Amy in some point.

Be careful in making decisions.

And if you dont mind, mention your position and qualification on line and perhaps the company that wants to hire you.

Hope we didnt scare you.

Your English writing abilities seems to be pretty good...what experience do you have? what is the offer for? if you e-mail me your CV, i might be able to give you a better offer at my company (also construction).

Dear what is your qualification and your job offered? and which company you plan to join? check with some1 you know in Qatar about their reputation. If you are goin2 join a Indian Managed company most probably don't expect a raise in salary anytime soon.. n you cannot change job in Qatar. Be very careful before accepting. All the best.

Your offer is fair I believe since you do not have previous gulf experience.

Though food may be tolerable, accomodation would not be.

Try contacting any of you friends or relatives here to know more about the basic facilities provided by this company.

Best of luck.

the amount of money you will make is very low. I dont know about the accomodations, but I can tell you that many of the construction workers here choose to stay out of the offered accomodations due to the fact that they are overcrowded and unhealthy. I have heard the food is horrible that they offer and also that you never get the amount of money offered in the beginning and also that some companies dont even have the work lined up but instead are hoping for new jobs to surface.

I am not trying to steer you away, honestly. Perhaps you have been offered a job with a better company that what I have heard about. I would like to think there are some honest companies building homes here and treating their employees better.

Good luck with what you decide. If you come to Doha, look me up!
