Is it a good package

Hello,

I recieved a job offer in Doha and would like you to help me evaluate the suggested package. The basic salary + transport allowance is 13200 QAR/month. The company provides furnished sharing accomodation and eventually (not sure) I can have instead of this a 4000 QAR housing allowance.

I graduated in October 2010 from a French engineering school. I am single with no family members in charge.

Do you think that this salary is good enough ? Can you give me an idea about the cost of living in Doha ?

Thank you very much

it is a good offer. If accomodation is taken care of, other things are not that expensive( especially fuel, car)I would say take it. Apart from heat, Qatar is a very good place to work and live.

normally the rent is the killer, so if u are getting accommodation then it is a good package. next expenses is food and transport. if you buy a car u will spend towards the loan depending on what car u buy, food is pretty reasonable, u can spend QR500 a week and live comfortably or lil more and live in luxury for food and entertainment. so after deducting ur expenses and converting to your currency u can decide if the money is worth it

Good Deal.... its just a start, and the more experience u will earn more u will earn. without family and kids this much amount is enough for a single person, and 4000 Qr is not bad for one bedroom flat.

Again this decision heavily depends upon ur lifestyle and requirments... but if u have an opportunity dont let it go. Many poeple here are trying to achieve the same for many years.

Good Luck !!

You are lucky if you get this package with your current work experience or being a fresher.

This subject is discussed very frequently...I would suggest you make a search of such topics, work out what you understand from them... weigh it against your requirements and get into specific queries, if any still remain... it would help you a great deal in understanding your pacakge vis-a-vis your requirements.

it is a good package for a fresher with less than a year experience..
