is it reasonable job offer?

I'm moving to Qatar with my wife and two kids with a job offer as following:

- QAR 6600 for housing

- QAR 1750 for Transportation

- QAR 13000 Base Salary

- Medical & life insurance for the whole family

- Annual air tickets

- QAR 13000 (one time relocation allowance)

- USD 3000 shipment

NO School allowance

How do you see this offer? is it reasonable for life costs in Qatar?

Thanks in advance for your support.

the offer seems ok, but not too attractive.

you might be able to save, but probably not as much as you'd like to. as another person have pointed out, education cost can be quite high - depending on the school type you're looking for. this may put a dent to your plan for saving.

accommodation is lower now than what it used to be, you can probably find 2BR appartment fully furnished with your allowance - depending on the area of course.

Btw, how will you get the annual ticket: at cost, lump sum, or per IATA rate? this could help a bit if you got the IATA rate.

if you need more info, do some research in QL for similarly themed questions.

No schooling for my grade and I'll have to wait for 3 years to get it provided by the company.

By the way, I'm 28 years old and have (3 years old kid and one infant).

I also need only 2 bedroom apartment.

Is that changes anything?

I dont know  how old your kids are but school fees here are a killer..... and most schools want payment a term at a time. Try and get some kind of school allowance.

That's good.  If you can't get school allowance for kids, you may have to scrimp on the existing provisions to make up for that since ivy league schools here are quite expensive.  I'm not sure if they could qualify to a public school.

if your position is a labourer, working in a construction site, then i say, you are OVER paid.

if you are a CEO of BP, then i say you are UNDER paid.
