Thank you for spending time reading my post guys... well just an added information... I'm still here in the Philippines working as a call center agent for almost 5yrs now... I'm an UNDERGRADUATE, just reached 1st yr College. Do you think I can still get or find a better offer there? Again thank you to all of you guys. I appreciate it...

OLD POST:

Good Day to All! :)
I have an offer for QR 2000+200 food Allowance+free accommodation and transportation. Techview.co hired me as an Admin/office clerk. I'm a single mom, 30yrs old, and this is my first time to work abroad if ever. I'm kinda hesitant to accept the offer due to low salary... Can you guys help me decide on this? Thank you so much... :)

It a low offer kabayan.. if you take that job offer and eventually finds another company here in Qatar you may not be able to transfer smoothly after you finished your contract because for your info, companies here require NOC (No Objection Certificate) from previous company to transfer to another company.

BEtter to look for other job offers. At least take basic salary +3000, with free accomodation & Transportation.

Take note: the cost of living here in Qatar is high.

its a fine offer for a first timer in gcc, with free accommodation and transportation with 2200, fair enough. can you tell us whether your annual leave is free ticket every year? if your earning in your present job as a call center for 20,000pesos don't go here. magastos po dito sa pagkain at misc. it depends also in your lifestyle. goodluck po kabayan.

the reality is that for Asians this is the basic salary for starters for small companies to medium, even some big companies also offer around same salaries. if your are desperately in need then come and try you luck, but its not good offer coz once u r here as mentioned by rmbico u cant change the company easily even if u get a better offer later...

I,m not sure of what you are earning in Philippines. If you are in a tight situation over there, take it or wait and try for another offer (as i wrote before) which might not even come to you staying there.

Alternately take a step as per GENE and move to a much better living world, future can be good as this will give you an understanding of working culture and people here.

Eventhough, I think you should be better off in Philippines. There is no much difference what you earn there and the offered. And again a piece of advice, once you sign your contract here will tied to your employer without NOC ( No Objection/ or Release) Cannot transfer to another employer or company.

I think it is better that you stay where you are, you would not be able to sponsor your child to visit nor your family members. It will be also difficult for you to get back home, if the sponsor does not give you Exit Permit to leave the country, then you are stuck. I suggest you stay there and finish your schooling and then try again in couple of years. You will get a better offer!

This is the entry level salary especially for a first timer like you. Since transportation and accommodation is provided, somehow this is a good offer already.

Take this as a steeping stone for better opportunity in the future.

I also believed that you will be able to save more in Qatar as compared to what you are currently receiving in the Philippines. As what they say, what taxes cannot get from you in the Philippines, inflation will.

Take care...
