Parabola,

16000 plus perks will be enough for you I guess. QU offers around 13500 for assistants 16000 for lecturers and 20500 for assistant professors. You can take your mom with you if QU liaison says it is OK.

Thats serious money dude! But I guess as a teacher, if he gets acco and medical and 16k is basic (plus some add ons)- I guess it seems reasonable. By the way, what is it that you do? Hell!

well this is a reasonable salary. you also need to consider if there is any clause in the agreement to have an increment............say after 3 months.

legal_pad said 16000 a month? I make that in one week....."

Hmmm.. Right. Some lawyers make that in 2 months. But there are pros and cons to everything in life and other considerations can be more important.

There are so many teachers around here and the ones from UK can advise parabola better.

I do + daily per Diem + car allowance and full medical. 16000 QR a week is just my base pay. I only have an associate and a bachelor degree and four certifications. This person salary is just pennies to my eyes for a school teacher.

@Legal pad....Do you also get company acco in addition?

And he is a teacher, not a lawyer!

@parabola- if you have 5 years of experience in middle east, you should know what's a fair deal by now?!
