Dear Friends,

I have just joined the forum and would like to make friends.

Though, I have gone thro' many posts on salary, I would specifically like to know the highest position/grade & maximum gross salary an Indian Senior Executive with more than 25 years of experience in oil & gas can expect upon joining any of the 3 oil & gas majors at Qatar.

Thank you in advance for reading & posting your comments.

Dear climbing everest, vignale & whaiQl,

Thank you so much for taking interest in my query and for helping me out thro' your valuable replies.

Though, the three replies that I have received so far are under 3 different levels, I would like to give equal weigtage for all the three and express my gratitude for all of you for trying to help me out. Of course, my special thanks goes to "climbing everest" for giving a straight reply.

My specific reply/comments on each of the reply are as follows:

1. Climbing Everest: Thank you so much for the straight answer. However, I believe the amount of 100000 QRL is equivalent to ~ INR 13,00,000 per month OR USD 27,000 per month, which seems unrealistic. I would expect even half of it to be a very decent package based on other feed back in the forum. Can you kindly reconfirm your reply and if true, to kindly elaborate on the source of your information. Please don't consider this to be a offending compliment to your highly encouraging reply.

2. Vignale: I would like to inform you that my query is based on an opportunity that exists after my CV has been found to be interesting by a reputed Qatar HC company and who has invited me for a F2F interview. My CV has also been accepted by another HC major of Qatar, but the position is still open for another 3-4 months, before interview. Nevertheless, I appreciate your reply that caution me of one of the possible final outcome.

3. Whai Ql: The answer to your question is what exactly I am looking from people like you, for my negotiation.

I would again like to thank each of you, irrespective of the degree of your reply in relation to my indented query. I have not given enough of the background beyond what is given already, deliberately for certain reasons.

I would again request the other friends of this forum, to kindly help me out with any information that they know of with respect to my query and clarification herein.

Thank you all.

Interesting Question. Without knowing your Background, it is hard to tell. Do you have Experience from Any International Oil Companies, if so maybe one of the Partners to the Major Oil and Gas Companies in Qatar ?

If not, I would say you would have a Chance at all.

You should know what these Companies Pays since you aiming for the Positions.

I suggest you do your homework better and get in Contact with some of the International Head Hunting Companies working with these Companies, you should also put your CV out there: www.expatnetwork.com, www.oilandgasjobsearch.com, www.worldwideworker.com
