Legal advice on salary freeze issue...

Hey guys...My brother is in a critical situation regarding his salary.. He has not been paid for the last four months. I know going to court is the only and appropriate option but the problem is that the company he is working in is not his sponsor, his visa/work permit is from a different employer. He has a simple written document from his own original sponsor that he is allowed to work outside. Is that document enough to cover us in the court? The document is not like that standard "IJAR PAPER", its just a written permission from his employer on the official letter pad of the sponsor?. In case the court dont approve or accept the document, what will be the consequences?.. Guys plz give legal advice..
