salam, hi

does anyone know the average salary for a nanny in qatar? are there any agencies recruiting nannies from europe for families in qatar? it seems to me that most families are looking for filippine nannies who also have to work as maids or am I wrong?

thank you!

There are exceptions for every rule! but probably all western nannies are employed by the royal family. The average person would not receive approval for a nanny from the West and it is true that only certain nationalities are allowed.

@ Deedee....you are wrong when you say nannies are only allowed from certain countries. There are western nannies here....granted only a few and they are being paid western salaries. Depending on hours and experience etc salary range from £500-£900 a week. Like I said there aren't many....but if you want to look for jobs here or more info try www.nannyjob.co.uk

if you are asking for a qualified nanny sorry to say they don`t exist yet in qatar!!!so don`t put your kids in the wrong hands.

maids salaries dependce on their nationalities as well , some people mostly arab are paying 700 others mostly europians 2000.i was paying 1000 food and accomodation buying clothes too and hala cards and i don`t have kids just me and hubby.then i decided i need part time servant.

good luck i wish you get what you looking for.

are only allowed from certain countries: Phillipines, Ethiopia, Sri Lanka etc. No European nannies allowed.

Average salary is between 800-2000 QR per month. 1500 QR is considered a proper salary.
