NEW CONTRACT
It is highly appreciated if you could advise me regarding my issues with my contract. I worked in Saudi arabia with the same company for more than a year but upon my return from vacation, my company sent me here in Qatar on April 16, 2012 without any contract or what ever, they just told me same contract will be followed. Upon arrival in Qatar, our Branch here in Qatar give me another contract to be signed having monthly wage of QAR2,874 same month April 2012 but the contract i signed was not followed. Am still receiving my previous salary in Saudi Arabi SR2,420 only until now. Currently i have a copy of the contract which i signed both parties appearing also the Ministry of Laabor of Qatar stamp. In this case May I ask you if i have the right to claim such salary which i signed recently from April up to now? not my saudi salary?
Please advise if i have the right to have legal action thru Ministry of Labor department? Otherwise this should be a big disaster between me and my Company.
You have the right to receive your new salary that you and your company both agreed which is showing on your new contract. Before you go to the Ministry of Labour, it is best to clarify this with your company. My question for you though is why only now you are raising this question, shouldn't you asked them the very first time you received your salary last april? Anyways, if they will give you the rest of your salary, just count the balance from april to present. Good luck.
If you have Sign New Contract then you Have Right to take new Salary, First make a request to your company, other wise Labour Court is their to get you the Salary as of New Contract, you can visit them and Explain them about your Contract, for sure they will call your company to answer this.
