NON QATARI EMPLOYEE OVERTIME WAGE CALCULATION
I want to know what is the correct method of OT calculation as per Labour law.
Normally overtime per hour calculated=Basic salary/26. Because 4friday 30-4=26day. But 28 days in month of Feb.2015. I did 60hrs OT @1.25%. Overtime calculation should be as below or not:
28-5days(4friday & 1National Day)=23days, OT Rate per Hour= 6000/(23*8)=32.60 QAR per hour.
[email protected]%=60hrs*(32.60*1.25)=2445.65 QAR.
But my company calculate As below:
6000/(26*8)=28.84/hr. [email protected]%=60Hrs*(28.84*1.25)=2163 QAR
Please let me know which is correct as per QATAR labour law. where is mentioned in QATAR LABOUR LAW for OT wage calculation.
One thing I'm working for short-time shutdown job (less the 90days)

How much is the over time rate per hour of QAR 5000 basic salary?
you are wrong the calculation. 26 working days/month is fixed for every month in the year. You have wrong calculated on 23 days/months

It is matter of just about QR 300 difference. Just take it and be happy without turning it in to an issue. There are people around here who have lost more than what you would be losing.
