Offer came through!!

Qatar here i come

G'day Guys..

My Offer came through and it's all good..

Just a question, I've been told that my work visa application will be processed. But my family visa will have to be done when I get my RP, it also states the requirements i.e. marriage certificate, bank statement etc... what I need to know is, when they say 6 month Bank statement, does it have to be Qatari bank statement or could I supply Australian bank statement? if it's Qatari then that means I'll have to wait 6 month before bringing my family over!!

Could you please advise...

Thanks guys.

QHIC, the best option for you is to bring your family with a family visit visa ( 6 months duration ) until you can provide the bank statement, after that you can transfer it to a resident permit.

I know who are those three who are misguiding him as they do with all other new comers ............ it's too late now for QHIC to notice it ......... he is going behind them ................

Prize, Even though QHIC is exposed still we need to guide him, let him be proud or silly in his comments, at least he is our future guest ............. we must bear with him for 3 - 6 months or max 9 months time as that's the max time for such a proud heads to stay at one place ......... .......... .......... .. ...........

Thanks guys,

No my son is still to young for school, and my wife is currently pregnant and we have other commitments we need to sort out here before they come and join me, but we never thought it was gong to take 6 month...

So can I bring them once I arrive on a visit visa which I'm allowed to do so for 6 month, then apply for FR without them returning back home? if so, that'll be the option we'd look at.

WT; thanks mate, I feeling is mutual, no job is worth the separation but in my case is deferent..

MM... Here goes with the nonsense again... lol.. you're character!

Your family can come in on a tourist visa. But when it comes to sorting out bank accounts and school admissions and driving licenses and all those other headaches, you will have a mountain of pain ahead of you because they aren't on a family visa. Are your children of school age?

Take WT's advice and request that you want to come with your family.. Ofcourse it all depends on whether you have kids at school and the logistics

If a person wants some months of freedom of singleness then it's different ........... or if wives want to stay back in other cases then nobody would be able to help .......... ....... Thu, 03.03.2016, 09.07 hrs.

When they asked me to come I told them we were four. So, they made the RP for all four, and THEN we came together.

As a matter of fact, no job could be worth the separation from my family! But people have "priorities".

Exactly, that's what I did, too.

why can't you come with family at the same time and then apply for RP's? That's what I did

Another option is to bring your family on a visit visa and later get it converted to a family residence visa. Australian nationals are eligible for visa on arrival.

But you should be prepared to wait six months if required... Best to discuss with your company now and see what they say

It means 6 months of bank statements from Qatar. However, I managed to get my wife here after three months. So I suppose it depends on your PRO and the mood of the authorities

It has to be from a Qatari bank and yes it means you will need to wait for six months before you can apply for a family visa.
