PAY DEDUCTION

Hi, Recently was on vaccation to home country from November2 to November 9. I was thinking , the comapany would spare me 3 days salary for EID holidays from 6-8 nov. when it was closed, but to my shock, the company deducted salary for whole 9 days, citing the reason that when on unpaid leave, any holidays falling are counted as unpaid day leave? Can my company do this?

public holidays falling in between your vacation is not counted as leave.
