I think the job offer is quite good as physicians make a similar salary. Now a days, due to economic downturn in the west and europe are flocking towards the ME. So, they offer lower salaries. Since you dont pay tax on it, plus usually get housing free, you should be happy if you get paid the same as your home country.
hi everyone...im hoping to be able to get some info from you guys because i can't seem to get any help at the moment. I have moved to doha from the uk a month ago under my husbands visa. i have been a qualified pharmacist for 3 years and been working in retail only in the uk. i have been applying for jobs in hospital sector here in doha but no luck as i dont have any hospital experience. i've looked at communtiy here but there doesnt seem to be many uk expats in those job roles. does anyone know if i am able to get into hospital here or is it best looking down other avenues. i know some pharmacists have become teachers out here
Hey Guys..I am a british pharmacist, currently working in the middle East. I got interviewed a few months ago, still awaiting to hear back from Sidra. I was told it would be a few months till I hear back as they had a lot of candidates to go through. If you don't mind, what kind of packages do they offer?
sadfat, May I ask if you received an offer? I am a Pharmacist from the US as well with 8 years experience ranging from acute care to leadership. I am just starting to discuss a position in Qatar but have no ideal what range to even expect for pay.
Did you accept Sidra's offer and were you able to negotiate the package? Do you mind sharing the info (ball park #s).
I am a Pharmacist in US with over a decade experience on the acute side. I am waiting to see the offer from Sidra. I don't know what to expect/ ask for.
Hi Silver4, congratulations! I hope it all goes well for you? When will you be making the move? I've also applied for a pharmacist role at Sidra too and am awaiting a reply..Any easier way of getting in? lol

Hi silver4 & all,
In what currency is the package offered?
Basic 30000
Housing 11000
Travel 2000
Is this in QR, and a monthly figure?
Also, if my wife has a housing allowance, what will happen to the 11000?
