Public holiday salary clauses in Qatari Independent School
Hi! Could anyone provide me with the legal details regarding the following:
If a staff is absent on the first working day following a public holiday( Eg: Eid) is he/ she entitled to having a salary cut of 3 days or a salary cut for the single day of leave?(Bear in mind that the staff was present on the last working day before the holidays)Is there any legal document that I can actually refer to regarding the rules for the above?
It depends, if she/he was sick , they can produce medical certificate for that one day and the employer will not cut her salary. If that was an absence without notification only salary will be deducted and that is also for only for one day . Ofcourse , why should they deduct salary for the public holidays.
