Qatar Airways Interviews
Hi all,
I am reasonably new here and was wondering if someone could help lead me in the right direction.
About 2 weeks ago I was invited to Doha for a personal interview with Qatar Airways for the role of Manager Cabin Services Training.
I currently live in auckland, New Zealand so this was quite a trip. Netherless QA paid for all flights on EK and accomodation whilst I was there.
When finished my interview I was told I would here an answer around 1-2 weeks from then.
My problem is it is now 12 days will be 14 on Sunday, it is now the weekend in Doha and I have heard nothing.
I know that Qatar is rather laid back when it comes to rushing with things.
Does anyone know how long I might be waiting and if they let you know either way?
Does it come as an email or in the post.
Finally do they do the no's first then the yes letters or am i waiting aimlessly.
Was very impressed with what i had seen and would really love the job, any feedback would be great.
I got Verbal Job offer in QA. How long Qatar Airway take to send offer letter and is that will come from email or Post ?
Hi everyone! I've also been waiting for higher management approval from Qatar Airways, it's 13 weeks now! Does anyone know roughly how long it takes to get out to start work once you have the approval?
Theres a lot of red tape and blue print going through layers of wannabe's. The system here are sort of beaucratic, meaning that you as a non Arab or GCC national would be first offered on the "waiting list", no matter how good you are.
You can't teach experience...
If they flew you all the way here they gonna hire you.
QA just don't want anyone thinking it a privlage to work for them...Just wait you will here...just do the ususual thanks for interview E mail or letter
You can't teach experience...
yeah... lolz
I m still waiting.. and it's been months.
I m getting pretty restless.
Everytime I ask.. they gave the same answer. 'waiting for higher management approval'.
seems to me.. n some others, looks like the higher mgmt is not aware of their recruitment process.
Nevertheless... we r rite here waiting.
thank you legal_pad, indeed the trip was fantastic which makes the non communication even harder. Accepted I was probably not the only one, just 8 weeks seems a long time just waiting for an answer.
thanks
It is their expenses not yours, I hope that you did enjoy the short trip and be very, very patience for a final answer. Probably, you was no the only one for the interview.
Good Luck
actually that is not the case,
I have now been waiting 8 weeks for the date of my personal interview.
Despite contact 5 weeks ago to mention that it had gone to the board for review and a rough salary discussion I am still awaiting that job offer.
I have sent numerous emails, despite a read report reply the email trail has gone dead?
I am wondering if there is anyone from Qatar Airways out there, is this the normal process? do qatar airways provide unsuccessful emails also?
Guess I just hang tight and wait, they say no news is good news don't they?

try calling them on sunday and then again back on thursday and have patience ppl have been waiting here for months after their interviews and job offers.
I was there for an interview mid February. I had a verbal offer sometime early April. I accepted the Job offer with QR and am still here in my country... Waiting for clearence.
Soooo... I suppose, patience is the right answer.
All the best. Maybe... just maybe... I'll see you with QR.
My husband's interview here in Doha was in May (not with QR.) He received a final offer in October!
Mandi
Qatar is very slow, the system is not like our countries, just be patient.
You would have higher chances of getting the job but who will pay during your waiting in here?
