I have received an offer from Qatar Foundation for the position of Research Assistant. My Base pay is 15,000 QR. Transport allowance is 1200QR. I have also been provided a fully furnished accommodation. In addition to that I have 37 days paid vacation (including air fare).
I would like your opinion on my compensation package before accepting the offer. It would also be great if you could share more details regarding personal experiences working for Qatar Foundation, their furnished accommodations and any other details that you feel I may have missed taking into consideration. Thanks very much.

QF is pretty big, it will very much depend on your unit/supervisor. Working here can be an adventure but it's always worthwhile to keep the big picture in mind - building a higher education system for an emerging country.

Is that a prevailing offer in Tuvalu. Not in the US as far as I know.
If the salary is about 20-25% more than a comparable position in the US then it is a good salary.

That would be low for a PhD in research. What's your degree?

Thanks for your replies. I will not be requiring allowances for children and schooling. I have heard from many that QF is a good employer. With everyone out of office for Eid, I have some time to contemplate on my decision. Appreciate the responses.
Did u ask about medical and Schooling for children or r u single?
yep we have friends who are employed by QF, even the housing is great..
Go for it. They are one of the best employers.....
