QP group grade and salary structure

Hello there,

I am about to enter final interview for senior network engineer position in QP group. I am B.Eng, CCIE, with 6 plus years of experience. Would anyone please help me with the following questions:

1. Grade and basic salary structure (min, max, midpoint)?
I don't know which grade I will be in, but I will be leading a team of few IT engineers. I am currently earning 25K+ in Abu Dhabi.

2. Standard benefits structure (housing, kids education, medical insurance, transport allowance, relocation allowance, flight tickets, etc)?

3. Is the grade / package negotiable (considering my other skill and experience, for example, other than Network I am also knows Security)?

4. I read that Qatar Labour Law is not applicable to Qatar Petroleum and its group. What are the special labour law pertaining to QP?

5. Can anyone send me a sample of the QP employment contract? Are there special clauses pertaining to exit permit, no objection certificate, or non-competition?

hi topgun90,

is it as bad as that? I've been thinking to move to Qatar aiming to improve my saving, so cutting down the entertainment cost might help ;-) that's why I need all the info I can get in order to make a decision.

you are getting good salary there but don't know if you would be happy to live here as there are not as many places to go for entertainment

UAE is the place to be think 200 times before coming in here

or ask any of you fellows who had already left QATAR
