Hai every body, I am a diploma Mech engineer having one year experience in industrial sales in india.

Now i have received an offer from a firm in qatar:

-Remuneration: QR.3000/-
-Furnished Bachelor Accomodation
-Car + expense for license by company[up to 3 chances]
-travell allowance and mobile
-Yearly ticket & 3weeks paid leave

Please advice if the same is a good offer or not...

If accomodation is provided by company then it is good. Try to negotiate but do not miss this chance and starting salary with fring benefits as will be provided to you are good. Accept this offer.

As long as your accomodation expense is taken care of, the primary concern is washed away. 3k is not the best, but its an Ok starter. If there's any chance to negotiate, it would be great to go for 4 or 5k, but beyond that from a Private Company that too with a Diploma, not a Degree, would be asking for too much these days. It won't be viable for the companies.

The points raised by one of the friends in his message above about the expenses you would incur for food QR900, Tel. bills QR500, Misc. expenses QR400, etc. are very valid and you are to think twice about it, as you would be left with a balance of only QR1,000/-, which may not be very attractive, especially when you consider leaving your hometown, your family, friends and your existing lifestyle, etc.

The ball's in your court, Cheers!

Hi Dear,

3000 Basic salary is not recommended you need at least QR 900 for food, another QR 500 to make tel calls, and keep QR 300-400 for your misc expenses. Then what will be your savings?

As long as you get an accommodation (probably shared) there is a big problem resolved.

Think of it... discuss in deep in this forum then get a consensus.

REgards,

sk

Hmmm... It all depends on ur lifestyle, Bro. Everyone starts wit sayin dey r goin 2 save each and every penny... But as days pass by and de amount of things u can do out here (Not much thou) and things u can buy... i really doubt if u cud live wit tht much... if u r as smart as wot u think u r, trust me... U can certainly ACE ur living here. Gud luck.
