What is a realistic salary for a geologist (office) with 2 years experience from Europe? I know I can expect housing allowance of around 12000/m, transport: 2000/m, DSL allowance for duty work, some allowance for kids schooling (don't have kids) but salary is still a bit of a mystery.

Are you sure it will be that much? That's more or less what my after tax salary would be in Europe, but I'd still need to pay for housing and transport from that. If true, then that's an easy decision :D
