This is a terrible offer, refuse it and send me the contact number of the company's HR ;)

The transport allowance may be paid to all staff. If the location is some distance from base, they may be paying a commuting allowance instead of a location allowance.

Just a thought.

I can sense that it is from either QG or RG.

The package is standard for the qualification you have. However, you might want to negotiate for higher position i.e. senior engineer.

Whether it is a good or not is depending upon your current earning, your projected savings, your view on your market price, and other competing offers.

Good luck.

It is a good salary, but not that great for saving for a family of 5 (in my humble experience). Just bear in mind that Qatar is an expensive place.

Hi

Your question depends on several more isues that you have not mentioned eg your age, nationality, years experience, whether you have kids etc. All these things mae a bit of a difference. I have been in a top finance position here for 4 years so I will be happy to discuss it in a bit more detail in private if you so wish. My email is [email protected]. Regards Phil

Jpa u are not making any point...!!

Transport allowance , commuting allowance both sounds same and means same thing... just told u i was as curious as u were and i did asked the HR who confirmed both will be paid (though i still have my doubts and reservation)....i only need a confirmation if this is okay to live in Qatar (even if the controversial commuting allowance is removed)...!!
