Salary Question

I'm an engineer with 20+ years experience; I recently received an offer from a subsidiary owned by QP, total salary is 26000 QAR per month (this includes base +car allowance), housing (a furnished villa), medical, schooling and air tickets for 2 children will be provided by the company, I will be moving from Canada (with my wife and 3 children) where I’m settled for 20 years and have a good jobs me and my wife where we have combined income of $140000, however I feel I’m undervalued given my years of experience… is this considered a good offer? If not, would I be able to negotiate and what would be the magic number to make the move worthwhile.

USD 14k is combined...How much is your net (not including with your wife)

USD 7K - for you...NO tax, everything is Free..

Soso Q

THT 26000 RIYAL IS EQUAL TO 7,200 DOLLAR.

SO IF I WERE U, I WILL STICK WITH THT 140000 DOLLAR EARNING...believe me, i know it...cos my dad work also in oil gas company, Qatar gas....and QP also big company.....u should negotiate again

Thinking of Fifty Thousand with a fully furnished villa and other facilities seems quite high and those who are offering you 26k will not be interested. I think you should be thinking of 35-40k.

it's not worth it...i know some guys with just 10 years experience getting more than 30K in QP...

Dosman, please maintain the industry market, don't lower down your standard, don't let the less suffered of low offer if they need our skills to develop their country...World Cup 2022 is your bargaining power to re-negotiate again..Good Luck!!

it's not commensurate to your experiences (and nationality) to tell you the truth. You should negotiate more in the region of 40-50K

too low!

50K - 60K is what you should aim, anything less than that it’s not worth it the sacrifice!

The 'magic' number would be 50k+.
