Salary RasGAS

By rigpro

I have been indicated a salary of Qatari riyal 28000/Month GRADE 5 for a specialist position in RASGAS.
Presently i am working for a international oil company on contract making usd1000/Day(one year rolling contract)full family status.
I am a western chartered engineer, with multinational experience.
Please any could give me a feedback,if the salary of QAR28000/month if fixed or is there a room for negotiation, because on conversion it works out only to GBP4500/month.

Lol! Don't you know how to calculate it? You got that much salary and you are asking to someone else? Lol! Don't be fool!!!! Even this is a basic salary and you will get more or double that amount and total you'll got 56K riyals, it's not high compare to what you have now. Did you know how to calculate it? I hope you know because you are a specialist and it's not a simple profession.

what u have mentioned for such qualification is very low ....

The minimum on this should be QR 42,000 a month.

Regards.

I think you have a point there...

"Ras gas its a permanent job and in future multinational companies have no accesss to easy oil, hence will have to go to harsh environments like africa".

28K excluding Housing & Education is good for Qatar, being a tax free salary. however, 1K$/Day is awesome but aint u gotta pay the income tax on the same.

Iam optimistic u'l find this 28K net more saving...anyways, there's always a room for negotiation..give it a try.

If housing and school fees are taken care by RasGas then its okay, not the best though...

If its a indefinite contract then its good...they pay more for definite contracts...

Then again nothing is indefinite here, they still can terminate with few months notice..

I'm curious to know the answer to this post. Does the 28K include housing and education?

way way too low compare to what you are having now which is USD1000/day. negotiate the amount. rasgas is well known for their sky high salaries.

FS is right if that amount is just the basic salary, then the offer may be fine. (they could add housing allowance, furniture grants, medical, school fees etc.) if youll summ it up( basic salary + allowances), it may reach up to 50gran /mo. nice.

If you are getting US$1000/day, why would even think of this offer?? this is way too less..compared to that..its only US$7700... you can always negotiate before signing the contract.

Is it just the salary or including allowances??

Its this salary + transportation allowance + housing + medical + school fees etc? then its okay..
